Hi folks, Hope you are all well,
I didn't have any trips planned for this month but with people enquiring, I arranged trips,
We had visitors today from America , Jersey, ,and England,
No signs of any skate, but we picked away catching haddock and dabs,
Well done guys, it was nice in the sun but with that easterly breeze it was chilly,
As the water temperature is increasing weekly, things will only get better,
By this time last year we had run quite a few trips, landing quite a few very large skate, lots of haddock, dabs, but the water temperature was higher year on year. Which makes all the difference.
Well done guys, hopefully see you all onboard again .

COMPETITION TIME
Hi folks Hope your all well,
Just to let everyone know 2026 calendar has been updated, we are taking bookings,
So avoid disappointment get your trips booked early,
I know last year weekends sold out quick,
I had lots of emails requesting trips that had sold out.
All trip prices are the same price as last year apart from the 8hr rough ground trip which has increased £5 per passenger, this was planned last year, to cover the cost of bait and fuel,
As on this trip we steam around 25 miles per trip.

Some of you may remember last year I did guess how many beeds were in the pint glass,
Well this free trip giveaway is firstly,
Like my page and share this post
then guess
how many fishing hooks are in the picture also you have to name each fish in the pictures
1 go per person,
I will be doing these throughout the season so follow my page to win free trips.

Hi folks
Hope your all well.
That's another season done,
2025 was definitely a challenge at times. Lots of wind this year, and lots of cancelled trips ,
Also its really hard to get it right when the weather forecasts are quite often wrong
Hopefully 2026 will be slightly less wind,
Saying that it was still a successful season
With 2 new species caught,
Spurdog and a Scad,
Cod 11.65lb
Ling 10.5lb
Mackerel were a little later this year compared to previous year's
But plenty of them and of good size upto 2lb
The first skate caught this season equalling our previous boat record 223lb,
And then the 8th skate this season another 223lb,
So now we've caught 4 x 223lb skate
All different skate
Out of all the skate this season, which all have been posted on this page,
The average size skate is 193lb,
That's a high average.
Hopefully next year a bigger one,
Saying that im not sure i will be able to get any skate on the boat for a while,
As im going to get my hernia fixed in a couple of weeks time.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for your custom,
And I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year when it comes
Hopefully see you all in 2026

Here's a few pictures from the weekend,
Saturday was definitely better weather,
Sunday was a bit breezy along with big tide,
Made a fast drift, making fishing hard.
Species caught
Cod, ling, pollock, coley, pouting, poorcod,
Bluemouth rockfish, sea scorpion, 2 mackerel,
Cuckoo wrasse,
Not bad for the time of year

Very nice haul

Great crack with a good few species to be caught! Always moving whenever it gets quiet, looking forward to next year with Barry!

Can I get a contact number for this gay as we go up to Scrabster each year this would be a good change.
